Guess what? This is a tried and true formulation, blended to strike fear in the hearts of biting insects everywhere. It smells good, feels good, soothes dry skin, and it really works. Clinical trails conducted on application with Badger Anti-bug Balm resulted in over 95% repellency against both mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) and stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans), one and a half hours post treatment. Efficacy remained high at over 80% for up to three and a half hours against mosquitoes and up to three hours against stable flies post treatment. Although efficacy declined thereafter, the formulation resulted in over 40% repellency against stable flies 8 hours post application.
